kperry
I am using Jasper Reports Server 6.2.1 which comes bundled with Tomcat 8.0.14. This version of Tomcat has a known vulnerability to Path Traversal Attacks. I want to upgrade just the version of Tomcat. How do I do this? hozawa
Export all your data. Do a fresh JasperReports Server WAR installation using the Tomcat version you want to use. Import you data back in.Refer to the following document on how to do a WAR installation.http://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/tibco-jasperreports-server-installation-guide/v630/installing-war-file-using-js If you know Tomcat, you may just be able to upgrade it by reading the following Tomcat upgrade page:https://tomcat.apache.org/migration-8.html
reportdev
I agree with Hozawa, exporting all the data and importing into a new server would be the easiest way. The WAR file installation is complicated it has many xml files which needs to be configured with the correct tomcat location and port numbers. kperry
I have found an easier method. Export the data, re-install Jasper using the .exe installer and the bundled Tomcat and then simply overwrite the Tomcat files with the new version.
