Did you enable auditing? From your error, this looks like something is wrong with the AuditDomain. More information on auditing can be found here:

I would suggest disabling that if it is enabled to see if that resolves the issue and looking to see if you have any audit reports scheduled.

Hello,
There are many things you can do to help increase performance. You can set the JVM options to be lower (although this can cause crashes). More information can be found here:

You can also do other things like turn off logging to minorly increase performance. JRS 5.6.0 is a pretty old version of JRS, so it should not use a whole lot to begin with. I believe it is around 2G to begin with.

What version of JasperReports Server are you trying to install? One issue you may be seeing is that Tomcat 9 is not supported. The latest supported version of Tomcat is 8.5.5.

By default, there is a 200,000 row limit in a ad hoc view. More information can be found here:

You can change this setting to allow more rows. The "sample data" and "full data" are just there to view that data in the report at that time (sample data will generate the report much quicker than full data will). Those do not change the row limit.
