  1. One way to accomplish this is to use locale bundles to assign the labels. These local bundles can come from organization folder.
  2. Although this is not available out of the bbox, here is a related article talking about how you can integrate with SAML (with additoinal links to how it has been done elsewhere). https://community.jaspersoft.com/questions/847921/saml-20-sso-jasperserver
  3. OData is not included in the list of supported data sources (meaning that it has not been tested); however, there are jdbc drivers that can connect to OData data sources, which will allow you to connect to OData data in Jaspersoft Reports. Here is an example of how it has been done: https://www.cdata.com/kb/tech/odata-jdbc-jaspersoft-studio.rst
  4. Starting with version 6.2 you can use advanced properties to apply labels to pie charts. You need to use "series.dataLabels.enabled" and set it to true. You can also use "series.dataLabels.distance" to control positioning of the data labels. Note that you need to use series.dataLabels... rather than plotOptions.pie.dataLabels... to apply properties to adhoc pie charts. You may try to use these properties in your dataMapper.js change. Also, if you use optimized version of scripts, you need either to add _opt=false parameter to the URL or re-compile optimized scripts after the changes as described in the doc: http://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/jasperreports-server-ultimate-guide/v561/customizing-javascript-files
  5. Here is a related question with some helpful links: https://community.jaspersoft.com/questions/847921/saml-20-sso-jasperserver
  6. As of release 6.x you can embed a Jaspersoft Studio developed report in a dashboard and use the dashboard to in effect have a responsive report.
  7. Here is a link to a wiki article that covers the addition of functions to adhoc.. http://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/how-add-custom-function-ad-hoc-view-calculated-measurefield-functions-list
  8. Here is a link to a wiki article that covers the addition of functions to adhoc.. http://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/how-add-custom-function-ad-hoc-view-calculated-measurefield-functions-list
  9. The first step is to track down the phrase "Caused by" in the log. This will further isolate the problem. There appears to be a permissions problem, based on "The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'Clientes', database 'WEB', schema 'dbo'". Try confirming that the user being use to connect has the correct access.
  10. You might try using the "Print When" expression on the Column Footer band to control when the Coumn Footer is displayed.
  11. You define the input controls on the server, and connect them on the server. The JasperReports Server User Guide has a couple of sections that discuss this. http://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/tibco-jasperreports-server-user-guide/v630/adding-input-controls http://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/tibco-jasperreports-server-user-guide/v630/adding-cascading-input-controls-report The sampel report "16. Interactive Sales Report" is a good eample when it comes to prepopulating input controls.
  12. Try creating the report to be repeated as a subreport, and including the subreport twice in the detail band on the master report.
  13. You may want to check what the Subreport's Expression is referening - the .jasper or the .jrxml. If they reference the jrxml, I believe the report will be compiled at run time.
  14. You might try setting the summary band height to equal the page height minus the footer band height. Alternatively, place the page number at the bottom of the summary band.
  15. Try puttting the subreport on the Summary band, and make the Summary band page height equal to the Report page height. This shoudl force the Summary to be printed on a new page.
  16. Where is the subreport located? Is it in the detail band? If so, then the query for the subreport will be generated 200K times which may describe why the performance hit.
  17. Jaspersoft Studio can produce reports that utilize data from both a database and a CSV file. This data must be in separate queries and consumed in separate sub-reports / charts / tables, because CSV data is not queryable and as such cannot be joined together with data from a RDBMS data source. You could drive the report from the CSV file and do separate queries to get the additional data from the RDBMS, but this would not perform well for large volumes of data since a separate DB call would execute for each row of data from the CSV file. Jaspersoft is also not designed to load CSV files upon execution of a report. You can accomplish what you are doing by using Jaspersoft’s REST API services. These services can be called from your application directly or via Jaspersoft’s ETL tool. The ETL tool can also be used to load the CSV data into an RDBMS so that the information can be joined together. Here’s a link to the REST API doco: http://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/tibco-jasperreports-server-rest-api-reference/v630/rest-api-overview
  18. Here's a link to a great summary of Jaspersoft architecture. Although a bit old, it still applies for the most part. http://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/jasperreports-server-architecture
  19. IntroductionThere are three different mapping packages / APIs supported by Jaspersoft. In addition TIBCO GeoAnalytics can provide additional fuctionality. For each type a number of examples are provided as well as some helpful links.: Fusion Maps (Maps Pro)Google MapsTIBCO MapsTIBCO GeoAnalyticsThird party mapping packagesSamplesProduct VersionThis information was last updated for version 6.2.1. Fusion MapsFusion Maps or Maps Pro provides shape based maps. It covers specific geographic regions and divisions. You can use data to control colors, labels, hyperlinks, etc. Links: For PDF output of this component, please review: https://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/rendering-fusion-based-components-pdf-output-tibco-jasperreports-server-63-instance Documentation, including list of available maps can be found at http://www.fusioncharts.com/dev/maps/spec-sheets/ Google MapsJaspersoft interacts with Google Maps API. - Additional license may be required from Goggle Maps, depending on the map usage. Multiple players are supported: Markers Layer Path Layer Links .API documentation: https://developers.google.com/maps/web-services/ TIBCO MapsTIBCO Maps uses TIBCO GeoAnalytics Maps. The TIBCO Maps component is only available in the Professional edition (or better) of TIBCO Jaspersoft® Studio. You can interact with GeoAnalytics to map based on address rather than latitude / longitude. Markers are loaded onto the map via a URL only. TIBCO Maps uses Google Maps as the exporter for anything other than HTML, and does not include marker or path layers. Links http://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/how-use-tibco-maps-jaspersoft-studio-pro GeoAnalyticsTIBCO GeoAnalytics Builder provides geocoding capability to the Jaspersoft user. You can upload files to the GeoAnalytics Builder Web Page to geocode large amounts of data APIs available GeocodeItineraryTableBatch uploadAdditional license is required to utilize the GeoAnaytics capability, Links. https://www.tibco.com/products/tibco-spotfire/location-analytics https://docs.tibco.com/pub/geo-build/1.5.0/doc/api/GeoAnalytics%20API%201.5.0/index.htm Third party Mapping PackagesJaspersoft can utilize the Custom Vidsualiationcomponent within Studio to implement third party mapping packages, such as Leaflet.js. A wiki page discussing this approach in detail can be found here. 20. Sybase is not SQL-92 compliant in some ways. It works well with reports developed in Jaspersoft Studio (JSS). However, when you try to connect it to the domain designer there are some methods that are not standard in the Sybase drivers when it comes to the retrieval of the schema - which is needed by the domain designer. (Incidently that is why Sybase is certified on community but not on commercial editions, since community does not have domains / adhoc.) You have a variety of options to enable your users to use the adhoc design features: 1. Use JSS to create a topic. The steps to do this are covered in The JasperSoft Studio Users guide, section 5.4. https://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/tibco-jaspersoft-studio-user-guide/v60/creating-topic-use-ad-hoc-views The topic can then be used as a basis for the adhoc designer. 2. Manually create your domain design using XML and upload it. This bypasses the domain designer with it's requirement of retrieving the schema. This will take more detailed knowledge of how a domain is put together. A starting point would be to download an existing domain as an example / starting point. This should work, although I haven't actually tried this on Sybase.

  22. Most components have a property "Print When Expression" that allows an expression to be entered that controls the display of that component. This expression can be entered in a variety of languaces, including java. To identify "java" as the language to be used in the expression ediitor, go to the "Properties" page for the report and set the "Language" to "java"
  23. When exporting a large crosstab from the Adhoc Designer to a PDF, you may run into an error expressing that the page size for the PDF has been exceeded. " ExceptionConverter: com.itextpdf.text.DocumentException: The page size must be smaller than 14400 by 14400." This occurs because Adhoc exports the cross tab as a single page. To export the crosstab: Save the adhoc and publish the report using a template that has pagination. Open the report and export to a PDF. The pagination allows the report to be exported to a PDF.
