Suppose I have a table with following report. Department A3,0002,000Department B2,00013,000Department B3,0002,000Now if I login from User A, Department A data should be displayed. Similarly I login from User B, Department B data should be displayed. What are possible options to do it?

Multiple data sources to create only one dataset

I think you cannot do this. Jaspersoft only selects 1 dataset for 1 report. you can use subreport feature for multiple dataset where you subrport can link to some other dataset other than parent report. -
You can give input control values using queries instead of pre-defined hard core values.

Subreport is used when parent report's field/parameter value should be used to display subreport i.e. subreport is dependant on parent report. If this is not ththe case then crosstabs can be used.
