  1. I had a similar problem and found a solution: Structure of my report (before applying the solution): There is a main report containing several detail bands, each of which has just a subreport in it. So in the result PDF there is a sequence of several subreports. These subreports consist each of a column header, a detail band and a group footer with sum-fields.Problem: Due to different data with different count of rows the second, third, ... subreport starts at different points. ... and sometimes only the column header is shown before page break and the detail band (= the rows) are on next page. What I want in such case: The subreport should start at the next page leaving a small gap on the first pages bottomSolution: I introduced an outer subreport with a dummy query resulting in just one line, I created a group on that value (resulting in just one item for this group) and I gave the attribute "Min Height To Start New Page" of this group a value high enough to make the subreport move to the other page. The outer subreport calls the original subreport. I made this for all former subreports.Hope that helps.
  2. my experience is that net.sf.jasperreports.export.xls.break.before.row net.sf.jasperreports.export.xls.break.after.row do work only in some type of elements, such as static field, textfield and so on. It did work fine when placed in the very first (left-top) such element.
  3. hello hozawa, thanks for your answer! hhowever it does not answer my question. My question was about the war-file-distribution, in detail about: https://sourceforge.net/projects/jasperserver/files/JasperServer/JasperReports%20Server%20Community%20Edition%206.3.0/jasperreports-server-cp-6.3.0-bin.zip/download and using that installation way it looks like there is no bundled database with it .... so I would have to take the database from somewhere else and have to learn about postgreSQL, which I do not want ... and, as stated here in the forum there is no way "out-of-the-box" for using Oracle-database for the JS-repository So the only remaining way (without switching to the commercial edition or caring about postgreSQL, or MySQL) ist to use the installer-version. In this situation I ask whether it is true that there is no bundled database in https://sourceforge.net/projects/jasperserver/files/JasperServer/JasperReports%20Server%20Community%20Edition%206.3.0/jasperreports-server-cp-6.3.0-bin.zip/download ... or whether I missed something. I really appreciate your answer - but please do not say I ask about the wrong file. Thanks for caring.
  4. Hello, it looks like there is no bundled PostgreSQL database along with the Community Edition war file distribution (JasperServer 6.3.0, OS: Windows). Is that true or did I just miss it. Thanks for your answer. Stephan
  5. In a german GUI-surface deactivate the Checkbox "Immer Fragen" and don't choose "auf Seite"
  6. Hi, is the combination of JasperReports Server with - Community Edition and with - WAR-File (not installer) installation available and if, for all versions, 5.0 up to 6.3.0, or just some? Thanks for your answer. Stephan
