install i report based on ur 32bit or 64 bit. if ur computer is 32 bit download 32bit version of ireport. else 64 bit. ur ireport is probably not opening due to on of this reason. please follow installation guide to install ireport correctly. http://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation?version=9036

U dont need separate jrxml. one report can be generated. go to preview option on the tool bar and view the report in the required format.

create a page footer. drag a text field ther. right click edit expression give this "Page " + String.valueOf($V{PAGE_NUMBER}) + " drag one more text field next to it, right click edit expression give this " " + String.valueOf($V{PAGE_NUMBER}) thats all :)

add ur input control correctly bu "checking - > "mandatory" and "visible" buttons while creating input controls. then u will be able to see all the data based oon ur single select query. try this out. -

once u drag a table u get one dataset added in ur report inspector. for charts u can create additional datasets by right clicking "add dataset". -

I have a charts created in new report, on click of the chart it shud go to particular section of the main report. as of now im using anchor name expression, hyperlink target- self, hyperlink type- report execution, _report, _anchor but on server it is navigating to that particular page not to the anchors. how to make the anchors displayed at the top of page.?
