  1. hello, I have encountered the same problem. Because we are using the AWS version i can not create an organization and play with that but what you have suggested would resolve our problem. Could you please elaborate on this solution for those of us who have a similar problem . Thanks
  2. Hello Shreecs I am expriencing the same problem? Could you share your findings regardless if you have found solution or not. Thanks
  3. Hello, I am getting the same error and despite months of searching now nothing can resolve it. Have you managed to find a solution ? Thanks
  4. Hello, I have been getting the same error when opening a chart and to be honest i am not sure if it is a bug in jaspersoft or there is something i need to change/ add. Can you please let us know if this can be resolved and if it is a bug is there a workaround to this? Thanks
  5. Hello I am trying to create a report which would pull data from two different datasoruces one being mongo and the other sqlserver . I can run each reports successfully but when i create a subreport in one and join it to the other i get the following exception: java.lang.ClassCastException: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerConnection cannot be cast to com.jaspersoft.mongodb.connection.MongoDbConnection Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks
  6. Hello, I cant seem to be able to open a chart that exists in jasperserver repository in jaspersoft studio. It is not only chart that i have created but even the sample charts reports exising on the server can not be opened. In order to replicate connect to jasperserver in studio, locate sample reports and right click on the jrxml report and select open for editing. You will get an error : net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRException: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 40; columnNumber: 156; schema_reference.4: Failed to read schema document 'http://jaspersoft.com/schema/fusion.xsd', because 1) could not find the document; 2) the document could not be read; 3) the root element of the document is not <xsd:schema>.at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.xml.JRXmlLoader.loadXML(JRXmlLoader.java:293)at com.jaspersoft.studio.editor.JrxmlEditor.doInitModel(JrxmlEditor.java:569)... I think it is not happy with the following line <fc:chart xmlns:fc="http://jaspersoft.com/fusion" xsi:schemaLocation="http://jaspersoft.com/fusion http://jaspersoft.com/schema/fusion.xsd" type="Bar"> but i do not understand why that would be . I have tried ireport and i get the same error. If someone could let me know how i could open a chart report for editing it would be great. Thanks
  7. Hi I would suggest that you first check if the database on that specific server is available and you have permissions to open in management studio. Regards
  8. Hello, It has been few months now i can't figure this out. When using hard coded values the report runs fine but as soon as i use parameters i get blank report. If someone could have a look i would be most grateful! 1. I have created a main report query dataset select * from Company. 2. I have added a parameter Parameter1 in the main parameter section. 3. I add a table, which i drag from the Palette. 4. Since the table cant use the main dataset created earlier I create a new dataset called 'Table Dataset'. In the dataset I specify select * from Company where CompanyID = $P{Parameter1} 5. I also add Parameter Parameter1 in the 'Table Dataset' parameters. I click on preview, i get prompt for the Input Parameter i run the report but there is nothing displayed. What am i missing? Using Jaspersoft Studio 5.5.0 Final
  9. Hello I have create a report using sql server as datasource . When i create an ad hoc view , sometimes it is extremely slow to save. Why would that be and is there anything i can do to change it? Thanks
  10. Hello and Happy New Year , I have a problem in jasperserver and if somone could provide a solution it would be great. It is a basic issue which i would have thought would be easy to resolve but... I need to display the top 10 results in a corsstab and chart. The data is filtered therefore i can not limit my results in the sql query or in the domain. my query fetching the data looks something like the following : select id, startdate, value from myTable I would like to be able to filter and also sort desc. Please note i am new to jasperserver. Thanks for your help.
  11. Hello and thank you for your reply. Thats right i need input conrol that would be populated dynamicly using a query and the user can do a selection. I know when you create an ad hoc view you can create a filter but the filters but that is not something i would need because i need to create multiple cascading input controls. For example user makes selection in control 1 and value in control 2 and 3 narrows down and the user can make further subsequent selection. I can create the control by editing the report and adding input controls however the value of the report itself does not seem to change when i run it. I think there should be a way to link the input control and the report but I cant seem to figure it out. Thanks Oly
  12. Hello, I need to create a report with query based input parameter. I can create the parameter but do not know where to specify the where clause in the report on the server. Do you specify it in the ad hoc view or somewhere else? I need to specify WHERE customer_id = $P{cust_ID}. I have seen an example where it is done in jaspersoft studio but not on the server. Thanks for your help
  13. Hello and thank you for looking into this. When creating the Ad Hoc View i did not add filters, I saved the Ad hoc View and Created the report at the same time. The reason i did not want to create filters was that i need cascading input controls ( when user makes selection in the first control the second control's value would automatically update based on the user selection). In order to achieve this once i saved the report i clicked on edit report and added a control ( see attachment) that fetches data using an sql query . The controls are working nicely but the report itself would not change value therefore i think i am missing something./sites/default/files/images/InputControl.png Thank you for looking into this.
