  2. Hello, I have a simple question that has been giving me trouble. I was wondering if there was a global parameter or method I can call in a report that gets the URL that is show in the address bar. Even getting the directory of the repository or just the first part of the URL would be beneficial. e.g. I open a report and the URL reads: http://www.mydomain.com/mydirecotory/jasperserver-pro/... If I could get "www.mydomain.com" or "mydirectory" that would be great. I am asking because my company has multiple instances of Jasperserver deployed on different servers for different purposes (development, testing, etc) and I would like to be able to dynamically generate URLs to other reports without having to hard code anything when resources are migrated between servers. Thanks EDIT: Nevermind... I realised that when I create a hyperlink, Jasperserver will automatically add the appropriate directory at the beginning of the URL. e.g. If I create a hyperlink with just "$P{address}" as the value, clicking on the link will direct me to: http://mydomain/mydirectory/jasperserver-pro/(value of $P{address} Post Edited by warren4850 at 08/09/2011 13:39
  3. Thank you for your prompt reply Matt! This has definitely pointed me in the right direction. I was hoping this feature was built in but hopefully a little bit of javascript will not be too big of an issue. I will also log this enhancement request as you suggested. Thanks again
  4. Hey everyone, I know that there is a way to do this, but I'm just not sure what event or option I'm missing. I have a dashboard with 2 reports. I am trying to pass the value of a parameter from one report to another without refreshing the page and using hidden parameters. For example, if I have a cost by month report in the form of a column chart, if the user clicks on a bar, I want the second report below it to display the transaction details for that month that contributed to that monthly total. I would like the second report (and only that report)to execute or refresh immediately. I'm sorry if this question has already been addressed, if so please just forward me to the appropriate topic. Thanks in advance, Warren
