  1. David - Thanks for your quick response. However, I do not have access to create the sql so i am stuck with the static csv file. Back to the drawing board i guess. Cherie
  2. In this instance, I have to use a csv file as my source. Can I sort the report based on a variable instead of a field? I am using iReport v.3.7.4. Please help. Everything i have read in the forums and books is leaning to no but thought there may be a way i am overlooking.
  3. On the topic of the bug in generating the xml.... I am trying to use a sub dataset for a chart but my source is a CSV file. Is it possible to do this and how would I manually change the code?
  4. I am working with a csv file with ireport version 3.5.3. The filter expression works on the main dataset, but does not work for the sub dataset. Ultimately, I need to create several charts and must filter the data and sort. Is this possible? I have exhausted my resources and need help to make progress.
