Hi All, A general query on header : Through iReport is it possible to set header for the excel sheet properties,I can set header for a page and header for each page through iReport. My query : Throguh iReport i should be able to set single header for the generated excel file(this is done),but when i give for print header for each page should be set ,i mean to say header for each page will happen if we set it in Excel sheet page set up properties .is it possible to set anything like that ( Excel sheet page set up properties)through iReport tool?

We are able to set total or grand total using the embedded calculation mechanism you have mentioned .which sounds to be again static..

Using the embedded calculation mechanism seems to be a better solution. In order to do so, you could download the First Jasper report sample from here: jasperforge.org/espdocs/docsbrowse.php There you'll find the jrxml file and some generated reports as samples. Please take a look on all variables used there to determine total quantities per group, per page, or per report. I've deleted your previous post. There is no option to hide a post from certain JasperForge users. When someone asks you for a sample report/data/anything, you don't have to provide the exact data which you are working on, but you should create a simple example that illustrates the problem. If you still need to send some confidential data, discuss with the person that has asked you for that data how you can send it privately. Hi , Anywhere I can find documentation or reference or manual for iReport 3.0.0 . Is books available in market for higher version ? Able to find Defenative guide for lower version ? I need material for higher version to learn new things like setting formula to an excel cell (to learn property or propertyExpression mainly) ,etc... Please help out...

Thanks a lot shertage. I investigated this already and implemented formula using iReport 3.0.0 . I'm able to set formula using <property> tag in jrxml.This works in a static manner.Is it possible to set formula dynamically. Example In excel sheet record will be generated dynamically ,Scenario is For an account number multiple records(count will vary for each account number and its dynamic) ,need to display Account total for each account number .I have a label account total at the end of each account number details and i have a column that holds the balance value .Whenever 'Account Total' label is encountered for an account number have to display sum for that account . Please find attachment template.xls to find the template of our output ,dynamically account total value should be set .number of record for each account will vary.Can you please guide on how to set formula for these kind of issues in jrxml file? Formula Cell doesn't works for me ...I'm using iReport 2.0.2 ,does this version support formula cell or i shud implement the same suign higher version? (3.0.0)

Hi, I have the same requirement.Was this solved? I tried to set formula for cells in excel using POI HSSF API... DETECT_CELL_TYPE attribute is set to true in my jasper code..Column for which we have to set SUM formula is set to Double. When we try to set formula to the cells using HSSF ,it doesn't works why? I tried a simple sample by setting the cell type as Integer - formula works with Integer cell type..but with double it doesn't ?anyways to fix this?
