Hi All, we recently moved from JS Pro 3.0 with JA to 3.5. Now we are facing a problem with the MDX OLAP Navigator and our dimensions, e.g., a classical Date Dimension Year->Month->Day. The problem is best described using an example. Lets say, we start at year 2009 and select one measure which is defined as a count distinct measure. A Drill-Down on 2009 displays the months available Jan-Jul AND the total sum row on top. In previous versions of JA it was possible to open up the OLAP navigator and de-select the node for the year 2009. This is not possible anymore, because the checkbox for 2009 is greyed-out (disabled). On this level it is not a big problem, because we could use zoom-on-drill option. But the issue is also present when going from month to day level. Using zoom-on-drill is actually not an option for this task, because all other months available are not displayed then but they are needed for tasks like historical analyis over more than one month on day-level. The sum rows should not be displayed because charts with the sum-row don't scale good enough to show differences, e.g., some numbers in our cube sum up to trillions in a year's sum but the respective daily numbers can be as low as 5 millions. A chart which displays the parent sums will have one peak at the beginning and a flat line for the rest. Is this a configuration issue? or perhaps an user issue? In either case, could you please provide a guideline, how to work around the current situation? I also tested this behaviour on the most recent version of mondrian. There it is possible to de-select the corresponding parent-level node. I have attached some small screenshots to clarify the situation between JA and mondrian. Kind regards, cenbells
