Hi all, I'm a software engineer working for Aspose. We are developing a product named Aspose.Words for JasperReports that allows to export JasperReports to a number of Microsoft Word document formats such as DOC, DOCX, and others. The default layout of the documents being exported is flow layout, which means they consist of "normal" inline paragraphs and tables. This has been demanded by many users and that's why we provide it. However, we are facing a number of difficulties implementing it with the current print model used by the exporters. We are still able to export Word document with flow layout, but they have some limitations that are not accepted by some of our users. Please correct me if I missed something, but at the moment I cannot find the way to: Detect whether particular elements reside in a header, a footer, or the body of the report. This information does present in the JRXML markup, but is missing from the model. This is a serious issue for us as currently headers/footers are on the same level as the body in the exported documents. Detect page margins. This does present in JRXML as well, but I can't see that in the model (thanks for providing page size, though /tools/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/regular_smile.gif).These issues are critical for us and our users, especially #1. My question is, in case I didn't miss anything, is it possible to add these features to the model in some of the forthcoming releases? It would greatly help us and would contribute positively to JasperReports itself, just because the export to editable Word documents is what your users really need. Thanks.
