By: BJ Freeman - bjfreeman Networked Ireports 2005-01-01 11:24 I provide the Ireports on a network. I have found Fat jar to be a god send, since it puts all the required files, and jars in one file. Instead of having to do local upates on each workstation, I just update the fat jar file. I also have included a Notifier so they get a message to close Ireports before leaving for the day. I have a string value as 20041204 i want to print it as 2004-12-04, but in the edit mask which we can put up i am not able to find how can i make this haapen as we can just set for date, numeric, time. I tried things as XXXX-XX-XX so internally iReprot set the edit mask of all the fields as this. I have quite a few problem regarding this. I have tried to make changes in the Oracle query whjch i am using in the report but that is not of help as it is creating problem with Null records(where ther is no data for the string field) Help Me out. By: Umberto Uderzo - uuderzo Jasper 0.6.3 and field name capitalization 2004-12-21 06:19 Hi, After upgrading to Jasper 0.6.3 it happens that the old reports generated by iReport won't work anymore since it generates the field name with capital letters, and in JR 0.6.3 it's no more supported. JR provides a compatibility mode, but it turns off some new features that whort the effort to correct the problem. For now the solution is to manually correct the field name (and description) of the field generated by iReport. I suggest to put hands on the field generation logic to correct this behaviour, given also that the right field name is with lowercase first letter. Thanks in advance... Umberto

Are you using the .jasper address of your subreport? In iReports 0.4.0 you define the parameters that you will be passing to the subreport under the "subreport(other)" tab I hope this helps.. otherwise not sure what the problem is Good luck! I know that when you define a parameter if you check the box "is for prompting" then iReport can wait for a parameter to be sent from the front end before running the report. then you use this parameter to search the report. Can you put the latest MySql jdbc driver in the libs? I keep getting errors and have to replace the jar and sometimes forget to do that. Anyone else have this problem? Michael.

I have a parameter that contains Cyrillic characters(in unicode). The "element properties" are set with PDFEncoding=Cp1251 (Cyrillic). When it displays the text, all the characters are superimposed. Is that a bug ? How can I display cyrillic characters correctly ? Thanks for your help. Herv
