  1. Hi you can also try jasperstarter you can launch a jaspereport () from command line to view print or export the data source defined in a conf file and you can also pass parameters to your report https://sourceforge.net/projects/jasperstarter/ For example My report is launched by command line "F:Program Files (x86)JasperStarterbinjasperstarter.exe" pr "F:Program Files (x86)JasperStarterbindocsage.jasper" -f view @"F:Program Files (x86)JasperStarterbinsagebijou.conf" -P dopiece=%1 -a For example my sagebijou.conf file content -t generic --db-drivernet.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver--db-urljdbc:jtds:sqlserver://localhost:1435/BIJOU-uUsername-pPassword
  2. If you already setup with token authentication and configured externaltokenauth xml file You should find (like in samples) an section related to role mapping that could help you mapping external role in token for exemple EXTERNALJASPERADMIN to role ADMIN in jasper Then you can have new users (externally defined) logged with same role as Jasperadmin
  3. Did you activate logging verbosity for your authentication as I explained? It helps a lot for debugging looking in web-Inf/logs/jasperserver.log What is the password encryption in your db?are they stored in clear plain text?
  4. I Aldo add problem but jaspent support helped me with these infos: You should store your authentication dB infos in properties file open configuration file jasperserver-proWEB-INFjs.externalAuth.properties add the information about the database that stores your users/roles (below is only a sample from my environment, for your reference only) : external.jdbc.driverClassName=org.postgresql.Driver external.jdbc.url=jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/mydb external.jdbc.username=postgres external.jdbc.password=postgres - click menu Manage->Server Settings - navigate to the Log Settings tab and in the very bottom of the list add the line: com.jaspersoft.jasperserver.multipleTenancy.security.externalAuth.db.MTExternalJDBCUserDetailsService - set the verbosity level to DEBUG Application server should be restarted to apply the changes that have been done. You should Then be able to adjust your application-context-external-db-mt properties file and debug don't Forget to reset your externaldatasource Bean as sample supplied by jasper To be sure if you have done some testing in your xml restart your conf from jasper externaldbmt sample just put your queries in, debug and then go ahead with bean conf Fabrice
  5. just define your nimber of Columns in report properties and detail height in mm according to your label sheet The layout Will change showing you columns and then your design your label in the detail left column
  6. Maybe your db engine could provide you a serie of data with a query and you can use a dataset
  7. With ireport or jasper studio you should be able to add parameters at report level with type and default value For example a Boolean printDetail1 and another printDetail2 At the detail band level you will find a property "print when expression" that you can fill with your logical test in your case printDetail1==true and printDetail2==true on your other band
  8. you are saying that password hashing is broken "user reading from db". Does it mean that sample-applicationContext-externalAuth-db-mt.xml is completly broken and we can't use external db authentication anymore until 5.6 or 6? How can we fix it, if we plan to deploy very soon a pro version with externalAuth-db-mt mechanism? Thanks
