I'm using Jasper Report 1.2.7. I've designed all the reports using IReport 1.2.7. When I try to programtically compile the *.jrxml file, I get following exception - ============== net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRException: Errors were encountered when compiling report expressions class file: 1. java.lang.Boolean cannot be resolved or is not a ============== Surpriseingly, when I compile the .jrxml file with iReport and then load the *.jasper file in my program it works fine. Am I missing something? TIA.

Hi Giulio, I'm too facing issue of recangle not shown on html. So I tried that printWhenExpression. But no use. You told replace JasperReports with PDF exporter. But can it generate HTML report?

reading other posts on this forum, I feel that this is some kind of bug in jasper reports or may be limitation of JRHtmlExporter object. So I did a workaround, giving background color to my text objects and it worked fine both in html and pdf. Post edited by: agrawalrohits, at: 2006/11/27 13:12

Yeah...I'm too facing same issue. I've a rectangle and some statictext over it. But in html, the rectangle doesn't have any effect. Surprisingly, this works fine when I view PDF reports.
