Hi there, Does the " n" work in the key expression chat area where you can move other expression to the next line? How do I move expression in a pie chat to a next line? I think the pie chat has problem that need to be address. It works well with sql where it reads column but in CSV it only reads in rows why? Hi There, If you look atthe NULL key error it looks as if you are missing some informtions in the chart.Say like the key expression, value expression and lable expression. the important part of the chart is to provide it with the key expression and value. How? after inserting the chart icon on you report> right click > click chart properties>click chart data,>click details >on the section value provide the key expression like "$F{Your Contribution}"> value expression almost similar but depends.click okey and run the program.This is an idear it is worth trying and it should help with that error. Hi Lucian, I have a question, felt you might be able to help me out. this has to do with Pie 2D's charts. My xls file works but any time I compile the or run it , it displays all the calculated values of every customer. Hi Lol, Sorry I did not get to your question on time. I am trying to understand what you mean and what exactly you are trying to do. If you have too many informations on a page,ireport through the tutorial I understand forces the rest of the information to a next page. With the page break, or column break, if you have information you want display on a different page, instead of the first page you can use a page break or column breake to seperate those informations. How ? click on edit>Insert Page Break/column break. When you move your mouse, you should display a + icon.insert it after you sub-report or where ever in your report you want ireport to force the rest of the information to the next page. This works for a whole lots of reports. You can also read through your code to make any necessary adjustments to page setting etc. You can also click on Edit> Report properties > @ You can change the page magin and others if you are not satisfied with what you already have. Hi , I am thinking you have too many page breaks.You should only put one page break between 2 different subreports. just an idea. worth trying. take the fist page break on to of the first sub. should be something like this. Hi there, Lucian's reposponds was correct. What i do for the sub not to overlap each other is to have a page break between each subs and I place all my information in the summary band instead of the detail band. "Just an idea that worked for me" Hope you get it Regards systemp

Hi Isreal, Thanks for the reply and the idea. I found a solution to my problem that worked well. Looking at old posted report on the discussion board from 2007 i realize some one has a similar problem and was never resolved. I think there is a trick to this since am calling an excel file converted to a CSV and running on ireport.Thus three thing to figure out. All the same I got a better solution to my problem which sounds ok till I run in to something else. This has to do with Pies -3D Charts Question?? My CSV works fine and displaying all I wanted except that my charts keep showing the same information for different customers. Does any one know how I could get it to read and draw/display each customer information without repeating the same value for different people?? will appreciate a feed back from any one. Your documents may not have a query, click top of you data and check report query if there is a query.I had that error before and I realize just drag and droping is not the only way you need a query to select from.
