How to set properties of elements?

2002-11-11 20:47

Hi all,

I don't know "Print When Expression","Position type", "Print in first whole band", "Print when detail overflows", "Print repeated values","Using chache","Using cache", "Stretch Type", "Stretch with overflow", "Parameters Map Expression" what do they mean? Please explain for me. If you got sample please send to me.

My email: hntiger2001@yahoo.com

Thank you

I'm writing a manual for iReport with many exmples (probably it will have a cost of 20 USD ) , but what you ask me is full explained in Jasperreports Ultimate Guide (see http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/more.docs.html) and here http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/quick.reference.html

I just purchased the guide and I am new at using iReports. I am running into the same problem as Tiger in trying to get familiar and figuring settings and expected result. It would help tremendously to have real life samples. Can you provide template samples that we could compile and execute to view the end result? I am specifically having problems with the bands and placing calculated fields (sum) on my report.

Hi Melissa,

you can find more detailed tag references on jasperreports site (http://jasperreports.sf.net)

On the same site you'll find much examples.
