Troche
Full stop used without space in long string data will cause the extra space issue at bottom in textField with StretchHeight Jasper report.
Troche
If we use space or -[minus] after .[full stop] , will not get the space issue. Only issue with .[full stop] + no space after full stop. will create extra space @ bottom of textfield.

Raphaël Peguet
Hello, I just tested with JasperReports 6.21.0 / Jaspersoft Studio 9.0 and couldn't reproduce the issue with the extra gap at the bottom. However, I do notice that it forces me to go to the next line after the full stop even though I don't even have a space. Can you tell me if using JR 6.21 changes anything? Troche
Thanks @Raphaël Peguet You are correct , New line will be added if . [full stop] is there. In our requirement we do need fullstop prefix value. 0.xxxx here we didn't accept new line after dot.
Raphaël Peguet
Thank you for confirming @Troche, I believe this is a defect.
