dynamic report language

hello,

I translated some resorces as static test (i.e. label names) using $R and translation files.

It works but I want to print my report with a language that can vary dynamically from the datasource.

For instance, I will print a sale offer in the customer language, so that the report Language and locale should be passed as a parameter.

is there anybody here that knows how to do?

Instead of using $R with translation files, have you tried putting label text in the database table and using text fields and using custom scriplets to change change text field content?

That was the second option. And it's working. For instance, product names are already translated into English tables and I already get the result. I was just looking for something easier.
