doncaster319
I am trying to lauch iReport, Community Version. The installation process did not create a launch icon, so I am launching with the executable ireport.exe. I have Java installed. The program brings up the welcome screen for just a few seconds and then everything fades away. Any help would be appreciated. Mike Smith

hozawa
iReport is depreciated and no longer supported. Should be using Jaspersoft Studio. That said, iReport only supports Java 6 and Java7.
patrick.krings
I had the same issue running iReport 5.6.0. You indeed need something like JRE 7 installed.Head to your iReport installation and edit iReportetcireport.conf: jdkhome must be set to your JRE 7 installation path, e.g.:jdkhome="C:jre1.7.0_80"[/code]
