Validation on Jasper Input Parameter

Hi....Can some one please suggest me if I can execute some validation on the input parameter in Jasper server. Like I have one parameter by name country and if user tries to enter more than 20 character in this I would like to display an message on click of apply button " Please enter the less then 20 character"..I have searched many articles on the internet but there is no colclude answer. some where i seen change the customform.jsp..but even changing this also not works.

 

so it it possible or I am just wasting my time in searching....

You're just wasting your time searching. You'll need to use something like Visulize.js and build your own front end tool.
