Hindi fonts are displaying properly in excel report but not in pdf generated by iReport.

Hello,

I am using iReport designer 5.6.0 and trying to generate a report in pdf format which includes hindi fonts.

For hindi fonts, I am using following configuration

Lohit Devnagari .jar file. 

Pdf Encoding :  Identity-H (Unicode with horizontal writing)

Pdf Embedded : true

The problem is that hindi fonts are displaying properly in generated excel report but not in pdf.

 I have searched a lot but didn't get any solution. Kindly help.

In latest version 6.3.0 the unicode working fine.

Please explore 6.3.0 lib's  and share us any solution you may found.

Thanks Ajay for your response. But there is no iReport version present which you have mentioned.

I am using most recent version 5.6.0.

I remember there being a bug in either 5.5.x or 5.6.x with external fonts. Unfortunately, iReport is no longer supported. 

Better to switch over to Jaspersoft Studio which is the new JasperReports design tool.
