hozawa
The best and the fastest way to get this resolved is to version up to Jaspersoft Studio 6.2.1 and use font extensions.http://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/custom-font-font-extension

panosvlastaridis
The guidelines here. Where the fonts can be copied from windows withcopy C:WindowsFontsariali.ttf .[/code]and also adding the line <pdfEncoding><![CDATA[Cp1253]]></pdfEncoding>before<!-- Is font is embedded in PDF --><pdfEmbedded><![CDATA[true]]></pdfEmbedded>in fontfamilies.xmldid the trick for jasper jar 6.5.
widdrop
To fix the bug "Unable to file the file: null", copy the font file (for example, arial.ttf) to NetBeans installation folder and rename it to "null".
