hozawa
Look at the log file to find if there is any error when you try to download the report in excel format. The log file by default is under WEB-INFlogs
padmashree.kn
Thanks for the reply. No hint in the log file..is the version having problem which we are using (version 5.0) If I upgrade to higher version like 6.1 will it resolve the performance problem? If it is can I upgrade from 5.0 to 6.1 version directly.?Please suggest.
hozawa
Not sure if your performance problem is cause by the version. Performance is affected by the server load. Server load is affected by report design, data amount, number of concurrent users, server memory, server cpu, database design, etc.Check where the bottle neck is in your system. That said, 5.0 support has already ended. It's better to upgrade. You may have to upgrade to 6.0 then to 6.1. I haven't done a 5.0 upgrade so you'll have to check the manual.http://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/tibco-jasperreports-server-upgrade-guide/v610/introduction
