I know, I know. Another survey?? But this is important: read on.

 

Ventana Research (http://www.ventanaresearch.com) is one of the analyst firms who cover business intelligence and are keenly interested in investigating open source. In particular, they are trying to figure out why open source products like JasperReports are so popular, and why developers like us adopt them instead of purchasing expensive commercial products from proprietary vendors. Gee, that’s a tough one.
