Grouping not working

I am trying to group a set of data according to a field, But the data is not being grouped. I have set the group expression for the field based on which i have to group. But, it is not working that way. Is there any other setting I have to do.

 

Please help.

Hi,

 

I'm not sure what the problem is in your case,

but note that the data should be already sorted

when you pass it to JR.

The engine does not sort it for you.

If you are using an SQL query in the report

template, then it should have an ORDER BY clase

that would match the group structure of the report.
