How to obtain values viewd in the detail bnd

Hi all,

 

I think everybody knows that jasperreport generates bad viewed XLS reports with mixed columns.Because of this i wanna obtain my xls file manually using POI API.In this case,i must take value of fields in the detail band and then put the value to the xls file.how can i obtain values of fields in my java code to send excel.

Use a Scriptlet that transfers your data from report to your Excel-File.... afterDetailFinished would be a good method to transfer the current line simultaneously to excel.

 

never tried but came in mind as a lightning. :-)
