I tried to add Cross tab on detail section, but its not working. I want to show complex data using piviot table and some filters, is it possible?

The report format is some thing like this, where the sales figures differs from product code.

I've only ever been able to get crosstabs to work in the Summary tab.  Try it there.  I've built dashboards using several datasets and dropping crosstabs into the summary section.

I tried a lot and it seems that Cross tab cants be used any where else, except the Summary band.

 

The problem is, I need a separate cross tab for each product code.

Lets say for product A, the pivot table is different.

For Product B, its different from product A

Look into building seperate datasets. In the Report Inspector right click on the name of the report. Then you drop the crosstabs into the summary section. Resize to fit. Works great.

Add report group band, Where you can group by Product code. Then add crosstab in product code report footer. So that you will get separate crossatab for each product code.

1) Added a group header and group footer,

2) Report has only one dataset defined which will fetch all the required fields.

3) In Group header band, added Product Code

4) In group Footer band, added CrossTab using same datasource.

Its not working.

Check that if you use parameter in report then that parameter should be in crosstab parameter also. If you are using separate dataset for crosstab then add parameters in crosstab parameter mapping. May be other issue...

Group report by product id?
