spierepf
Greetings,I've given up on using the REST service. It appears to be incapable of recognizing a valid multipart request, which is necessary for creating file resources. So now I'm on SOAP. But from the docs, it appears that Jasper uses their very own kind of SOAP, without envelopes or other SOAPy constructs. From the doc:The following sample request lists the repository root:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><request operationName="list" locale="en"> <resourceDescriptor name="" wsType="folder" uriString="/"> <label>null</label> </resourceDescriptor></request>However, when I send that document to the repository, I get:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"><soapenv:Body><soapenv:Fault><faultcode>soapenv:Server.userException</faultcode><faultstring>org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 1; columnNumber: 31; XML document structures must start and end within the same entity.</faultstring><detail><ns1:hostname xmlns:ns1="http://xml.apache.org/axis/">localhost.localdomain</ns1:hostname></detail></soapenv:Fault></soapenv:Body></soapenv:Envelope> Does anyone have any experience using the SOAP service?Peter. Ching Ice-creaming
Off the topics, I don't have any problem of RESTful APIs of JasperServer. Here is my open source project: http://code.google.com/p/jasperclient/ Please don't give up RESTful services, it is more thinner than web services. lisacbeaton
Were you able to get this working? I'm trying to set up SOAP services in Sharepoint. I can get them working for the National Weather Service but not for JasperReports Server!
