Bold Font Blurred in 3.7.6

Running iReport 3.7.6  gives a PDF where anything in BOLD font is blurred.  The old version of the same static field is much crisper and legible. Any ideas on how to improve the 3.7.6 version? I am using “straight out of the box implementations” of the product.  The preview display of the report is fine in iReport. It is when it converts it to a PDF that the bold print gets blurred.

You posted a docx to show how a PDF comes out? That's a bit odd. Why not post the PDF? Or maybe a PNG of the bad text.

It's not so clear what you mean by "The old version of the same static field is much crisper and legible."

It seems extremely likely that the problem is the use of (well, the non-use of) font extensions. Look at the samples available with JasperReports and search this forum for font extensions.

Iam also facing the problem with iReport 3.7.6 font extensions.

Issue: data is displaying with boxes sorrounding it.

please find the attached PDF document for reference.

With iReport 1.3.3 i did not have any problem.

please help me to resolve this issue.

I could resolve this issue by setting the JRXML text field's pdfEncoding property to Identity-H.
