Pass values from subreports using scriptlets?

Hi,

My sub-report returns one value, each time it is called and I want to have that value summed in the main report.

 

If I use scriptlets, would this be possible ? If so, could someone please tell me how to pass values from subreports to the main report using scriptlets .
