cheers
Hi,I have a requirement to convert HTML and JSP pages to PDF for my project. I am considering iText for the same. I wanted to know if iReport can be used instead of iText. Any suggestions on this are appreciated.TIA,*Cheers Post Edited by cheers at 09/27/2010 00:
svenn
No, iReports is a development tool for the Jasper Reports reporting engine. It could be used to reproduce a document that is like your HTML page but can not do a direct conversion of it.
cheers
Thanks for the reply svenn. I am very new to this, I did spend some time trying to figure out how to transform my html/jsp to pdf using iReport but I could not figure that out. All I could find was, using a sql query to get the data to generate report. When you say that it is possible to reproduce a document like the HTML, how do you visualize it? I mean how do I get the data from HTML/jsp file?
