Hook after report construction is finished

2003-10-08 22:07

I want to set an image object as parameter after report construction (note not after report initialization) through scriptlet kind of thing. Is it possible in Jasper.

Hi,

You have to give more details about what you need

to do.

Even I don't have a clear idea about what you mean

I guess you can make a trick to obtain the hook

you need.

For example, if you want to know when the report

reached the summary section, you could place

a dummy (invisible) element on the summary band

and in its <printWhenExpression> you could make

a callback on some of your custom classes to signal

that the end of the report has been reached.

The best approach would be to make a callback from

this expression to the scriptlet object asociated with

the report because this way you have instant access

to report parameters, fields and variables.

I hope this helps.

Teodor
