I am trying to add an external reference hyperlink to first column of report. I can add the link even though it does not form the html correctly (i.e., it does not put the ending anchor tag on it. This is bad html but it works. The problem is I am trying to dynamically build the href with a report field and it appears that the expression.setText and epression.addTextChunk stop returning data after the $F{field}, so my javascript reference cannot close its ending paren ? HELP!!!!! I have also tried to hardcode the expression with the addTextChunk method but it does the same thing....I am doing all the report design in java, ie. no xml file...
