An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0xac)

2003-06-16 17:36

Hi reports experts...

I've the following error:

--------------------------

Stopping after fatal error: An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0xac) was found in the prolog of the document.

----------------------------

I was testing my reports for solve the error, and this is what I found:

What i compile my report using iReport a .jrprint file is created the content of this file is:

  bsp;

pageHeightI

xsr

loadFactorI

x

I don't know what it means but the first char (    is who produce the error.

I change the header for my report (the .xml file) for testing, I used "UTF-8" encoding and "ISO-8859-1" encoding and the error continuous show me.

I tried delete this char (    and the xml parser says me that the xml header is invalid when I add it the parses show me the error again ("An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0xac)").

This char is required I can't change it ???

thanks

Can I look at your XMl file ?

Maybe you can reduce the fields, etc.. first, with some description of the SQL table. I'll try to compile it and see if there is any luck.
