opening ireport from command prompt

Hi i am trying to create a tool for our product (we use ireport for most reporting) where our consultants can just press a button and it will open ireport with the selected report file.

 

I am haveing trouble figuring out what parameter i sent to the executalbe for it to open the document though.

 

 

i have tried the following

\iReport.exe - absolutepath to report file

\iReport.exe absolutepath to report file

\iReport.exe -open "absolutepath to report file"

 

 

Is what i am trying to do possible?

On Windows, guessing that this is iReport 3.x, the .jrxml type should be associated with iReport, so you should just be able to run

 

"absolutepath to report file"
