nkakan01
We want our reports to be 508 complaint .Right now we are using Jasper reports library version 1.2.6. When i went through forums it was said from 3.1.2 jasper reports produce 508 complaint PDF reports .Is that True?If is true .Can we upgrade our server from 1.2.6 to 3.1.2 jasper reports directly to get 508 complanint PDF reports without changing actual coding part of the report? Teodor Danciu
Hi, Have you tried to upgrade and it did not work?Note that the reports will not become PDF 508 compliant out of the box. You need to use special properties on elements to markup the structure of your document, as JR cannot figure out automatically the structure of your report.iReport can help you with setting those properties with a right-click menu on elements. I hope this helps.Teodor
Xarnius
I'm using iReport 3.1.4 and am able to produce 508 Compliant reports locally through IReport, but when I run them through Jasper on our application server, the tags get stripped. Is there some configuration step I'm missing on the Jasper side? Thanks,Dan

lucianc
Actually there is something you need to do: set the JRPdfExporterParameter.IS_TAGGED export parameter (or the associated property) to true.Regards,Lucian
