Is there a way to set the maximum number of pages?

Hi,

 

Yes, this is what we now call report governors.

Basically, a governor is a global scriplet. They were introduced in JR 3.1.4.

Check this config properties you could use:

http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/config.reference.html#net.sf.jasperreports.governor.max.pages

http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/config.reference.html#net.sf.jasperreports.governor.max.pages.enabled

thanks its really very useful properties,i am gettig null pointer exception after this key with particular value..jasperreport server is sending correct GovernorException but client jar containing RunReportAdapter.run() returning null while calling from rest service..is there anyway we can catch GovernorException.
