Creating Data source for SSAS 2008 Analysis Server

I am attempting to connect to a Microsoft SSAS 2008 analysis server to retrieve KPI values that I have created there.

I believe I have set up the XML/A access correctly for the analysis server.

When I go to create a new data source in iReports 3.5:
I selected the XMLA Server option
Entered the URL of the server and clicked Get Metadata.

All that is returned is the list of Data Sources.

The catalogs are not returned and the interface doesn't allow me to just enter a catalog name, I can only select from the list, but the list is empty.

Any suggestions?

I've not idea where the problem may be. Some problem in the XML/A protocol?
