What is the best practice to use JA with OLAP DB

Hi All,

My company uses Oracle 10g and they store data using MOLAP engine.

Now in order to use JasperAnalysis, they created a view to their data and I assume that this is not the best way to do it.

They claimed that this view is their fact table and aggregate table. What should I do as I can't tell Mondrian that this view is aggregate table due to the fact that this view doesn't have a fact count column.

How can I get around this problem?

Looks like you have a data model issue. Is the granularity of these aggregated views not right for your needs?

From your previous post, the measures are aggregated according to the following dimensions:

     TIME,
     PRODUCT,
     GL_ACCOUNT,
     CENTRE,
     ENTITY,
     CUSTOMER,
     PROJECT,
     SPARE,
     CURRENCY,
     SCENARIO

Do the measures then roll up, ie. sum, average, across those dimensions?
