mreis
Hi, we've been working with iReport "classic" from JasperReports 1.x on ...... now it seems that iReport "classic" becomes some kind of deprecated and iReport NB seems to be the future.Should we switch to iReport NB and are there any drawbacks when migrating to the iReport NB (e.g. barcode lib, etc.)? kind regards & many thanks,Markus
Giulio Toffoli
Definitively iReport "classic" is deprecated, even if a lot of people still use it.If you are new to JasperReports, go with the iReport NB, it gets better and better, and support all the new JasperReports features. Barcodes will be available from the next version (3.5.2), they were scheduled for 3.5.1, but we were not sure how to make a better job of what we provided at the time.Giulio
mreis
How long will it take until 3.5.2?Are there any (other) major drawbacks compared to iReport 3.0.0 "classic"? kind regards,Markus
Giulio Toffoli
3.5.2 is scheduled for early June. But consider that JasperReports 3.5.1 is much more powerful than 3.0: there is the new list component, more charts, more options in general. iReport is just the designer and it supports all these new features that iReport 3.0 does not.Giulio
