dbdude
jasperserver-pro-3.1.0.1-linux-installer.bin fails on 64-bit linuxKinda disappointing. Any suggestions? Any chance of a version compiled for 64-bit machines? __Marc
mryzhikova
Hi, our 3.1 installer supports 'x86_64' OS, but will not work under IA-64. To find out what are you on, could use the following command: uname -m If the output is: x86_64 - installer should work. Please let us know if that helped. thx!marina
tkavanagh
We fully support execution on 64bit via the War File Distribution Package zip (jasperserver-3.1-bin.zip)If you take a look at the Install Guide found inside, there are detailed steps for doing an installation. Actually, because JasperServer is a Java based web application, all that is required is a 64bit Java version and a 64 bit MySQL instance. Tomcat is also a Java app so will run with the 64bit Java. I know that this works with the 64bit Sun Java. Some of the older open source Javas have had trouble in the past. I'll be doing more testing of the current open source javas to validate which ones are complete.Take a look at: <unpacked-dir>/docs/JasperServer-Install-Guide.pdfSection 5 is "Install Using War File Distribution".
