pavanich
Hi All,I have a problem when generating excel reports with jasper reports 3.1.0. I am using poi 3.0.1-FINAL version along with jasper reports and have 1500 rows of data. The excel file is generated and when I open the excel file, I get the message "Damage to the file was so extensive that repairs were not possible. Excel attempted to recover your formulas and values, but some data may have been lost or corrupted." and when the file opens, most of the data and formatting are lost.I generated the same report with jasper reports 1.3.0 and poi-3.0.1-FINAL version. The excel file generated is opening fine and no data or formatting is lost. Is this a problem with jasper reports 3.1.0 version? Is there any fix for this issue? If there is, please reply immediately.I want to upgrade to Jasper Report 3.1.0 but unable to for the above reason.

Teodor Danciu
Hi, There was indeed a problem with the JRXlsExporter that was introduced in 3.1.0. It is not solved and will be part of the next release. Until then, you can use the JExcelApiExporter of JasperReports, which has similar capabilities. Thank you,Teodor
