control sheet name of excel report

Hi

Is it possible to control name of sheet of excel file.
For example, the report name is DAILY_WIP_STATUS on repository.
If I run report to excel format, the file is generated name as "DAILY_WIP_STATUS.xls", but when I open excel file, the sheet name is defined "DAILY_WIP_STATUS_jrxml_12198025".
I would like make sheet name same as excel file name, is it possible to control it?

Any advice will be appreciated.

My Excel sheet name is actually same as the file name, but then why you getting different name? What version of JS you using now?

Thanks for your reply, I installed lastest version of JasperServer. it is v.3.0.0

Is there any updates/patch or do i have to change anything?

Hi,

I understand your problem. How do you tag/attach JRXML file with the report ? I belive, you straight away will go to JS and create a report unit, when comes to the JRXML portion, you will choose "From file system" and upload the file.

To avoid the fancy name in excel sheet , what you can do is (this is what im doing now), upload the JRXML file first (you need to name it), then when you create the report unit, browse this jrxml file ("From Content Repository"). This way, when you export, the name will be the same as what you have name it before.

Is my explanation i clear?
