CRCarl
All - I would like to use JasperServer installed on a linux box to create XML that I put to a HTTP server and then turn the results (product orders status) into a report. I think I can do this if I write the results to a file and then use the XMLfiledatasource but is there a way to skip this step? Is there a way to create a report in iReport that takes some user input (order number), puts the query via XML to the HTTP server, gets the results and creates the report? Do I need ETL? Thanks for any suggestions, direction. Craig
swood
If you look in the JasperReports extensions project on JasperForge at http://www.jasperforge.org/sf/projects/jasperreports-extentions, you will see a JRDataSource that reads XML from a URL. We have not included this in JasperServer. ShermanJasperSoft
CRCarl
Can I move the datasource from JasperReports to JasperServer? Craig
