GeertPoels
Hello, I've created a simple report with a subreport. Both reports show records and contain multiple textfields.Their content is filled with the values of a custom programmed datasource(a JRRewindableDataSource). Sometimes these values can be a single word, sometimes they contains a very long text. How can I define that a textfield'height grows, depending on its content ?Because if I foresee enough space for every possible content, I loose a lot of height to blank space. Thanks ! Geert
lucianc
See the isStretchWithOverflow attribute of textField elements. HTH,Lucian
GeertPoels
Thanks. That worked. What are the differences between stretch to tallest object and stretch to band height ? I'd like to 'color' my rows. Now I had a colored rectangle behind my textfields. With this stretch, the color doesn't follow.Any tricks on how to do this ? anandharaj
Follow the instruction as per this document. This is really pretty cool, dynamic row color. http://www.jasperforge.org/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_download&gid=158&Itemid=248Post edited by: anandharaj, at: 2007/04/07 02:
