Avoiding orphan column headers

Is there a way to avoid column headers coming to end of a page when no details fit in the same page?

 

I've created a report that looks OK otherwise except sometimes there's a column header at the end of a page and no details. The header is repeated on the next page with the details. The orphan column header looks silly and it has no value.

I have the same problem... that the column header being displayed at the end of the first page without any details row (since the first row does not fit the remaining space). Does anyone know a work around for this? Please help... and thanks in advance.

This is one of the reasons I avoid column headers. What you can do is set up a group without anything in the "Group Expression". You can then set "Min height to Start New Page". Now place the items that were in your column header in the group header.

but if I put them within a group, then how can the header be displayed repeatedly on every page (if the details expand over 1 page)?

I checked "Print header on each page" attribute in group's properties and it works fine :)

Even I have the same problem and I followed the steps given above. Still the problem persists. Can anybody help me out?
