Upgrade Paths
You must upgrade to 7.9.0 before upgrading to 7.9.1. You cannot upgrade to 7.9.1 from any other previous version.

Upgrade File
To upgrade, start with the Service Pack distribution ZIP: TIB_js-jrs_7.9.1_sp.zip
Downloaded it from
Unzip the file and follow the instructions in the readme file it contains. The ZIP file contains patch files to replace or supplement files in your installed instance of JasperReports Server 7.9.0. You also must delete files that are no longer needed.
Database Changes
There are no database changes between 7.9.0 and 7.9.1.
For database changes between previous releases, see the release notes for those versions.
Upgrade from Community Project
Service Pack 7.9.1 is a Commercial release only. You must upgrade to the Commercial version 7.9.0 before upgrading to 7.9.1.
If your current instance is the Community version, you can follow Chapter 6 of the TIBCO JasperReports Server Upgrade Guide to upgrade to the Commercial version.
