Connecting to Sample Database

I am trying to connect to the Sample Database but I receive an error.  I took the following steps:

- Create Dataset
- Entered Dataset Name: GroupData
- Selected "Create new dataset from a connection or Data Source"
- Selected Data Adapter: sample DB - Database JDBC Connection
 

Receive the following error:
java.sql.SQLInvalidAuthorizationSpecException:invalidauthorizationspecification

 

I also get the following error when selecting "Test Sample DB – Database JDBC Connection for Data Adapter:

 java.sql.SQLException: Database lock acquisition failure: lockFile: org.hsqldb.persist.LockFile@2c741110[file =C:Program FilesJaspersoftJaspersoft Studio Professional-5.6.1.final[PATH_TO_DB_FILES]database.lck, exists=true, locked=false, valid=false, ] method: openRAF reason: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:Program FilesJaspersoftJaspersoft Studio Professional-5.6.1.final[PATH_TO_DB_FILES]database.lck (Access is denied)

Has anyone else experienced these errors?  I installed the 30 trial vereson of the software on my personal computer.

You've tagged your question as "iReport" but from the error message, it seems that you're using Jaspersoft Studio.

I have the same error connecting to MySQL to run a report.

Your local HSQLDB could be corrupted, if a restart doesn't fix it, you can run a copy.
