Subreport won't stay inside the frame

Hi,

I'm new to iReport and am trying to build a packing slip.  I need the details to stay inside a frame so they don't ooze down into a makeshift footer that I've had to put inside the detail band because of this stuff that need to take up the whole band on the right side.

A picture will demo much better than my words I believe.

Here is how I have the report laid out:

I want the details to stay inside the frame the subreport is in, but they bleed down into my little footer.  I've tried using every property I see out there, with no luck.

Here are the results when I run it:

I sure someone can help me out.  Hoping it's something silly easy and I don't hear something like 'Oh, you can't do that in iReport!'!

Hi Jennifer,

I think you should recheck the size of the subreport and the frame. As the subreport should be exactly the size of the frame for the perfect fit, and yes fo uncheck the overflow option for the subreport element in the main report as we don't want any overflow.

Hi Ankur,

Warm thanks for the reply.  It doesn't fix it though.  I stripped it down to just the sub-report, made sure the sub-report size matches exactly the frame and even the detail band.  Overflow is not checked.  The details still just march on down the page and fill it.

Any other ideas?
